Question by Bob: Does anybody know of legitimate computer-based “work at home” businesses?
I’m looking to earn some extra money after work using my home computer. I’d rather not have to sell anything if possible and would like it to be computer-based. There are so many scams out there it’s scary! Any ideas?

What you can do, is evaluate a few business models that have been proven to work, and then get expert opinion on each.
For example, you can go over to warriorforum.com and register for a free account, then just hang out, reading what people have to say about various business models.
A good business to look into, is one where you do not have to be stuck in front of your computer all day. One recent type of home based business that has been catching on is is home based advertising.
Advertising is big business, and as the recession eases, more companies will be putting more money into online advertising where they get more value for each dollar spent.
The better, more professionally-run businesses offer a commission for getting other people to advertise with them, and at the same time, they rebate you for buying advertising for yourself. This business model is legitimate, as long as you are getting a real service or product for any money you spend.
One note of caution.
Several states in the USA have jumped in and closed some of these companies that were doing this type of business, because they were either over-zealous, or could not properly distinguished between a legitimate company from a pyramid. One recent example of this is a company in Florida called ASD cashgenerator. Others were downright scams and deserved to be closed. It is very important that you do some good review before you spend any money on these companies.
Nevertheless, you can make some money from these companies as they do not require much work, (just about 30 minutes a day) and you can usuallys start with as little as $ 10.00.
Some will pay commissions of up to 15% on referrals, and your own rebates can add up to a tidy sum of money.
In the end, you have to do some due diligence on your own so that you can decide if the company you are evaluating is legitimate. I do wish you well.
